Specially crafted for home delivery in Pune, this dish should take care of all your Paneer Makhani cravings. Copious amounts of pillowy paneer cubes swim in a sea of rich, creamy, smokily aromatic curry, with barely a hint of sweetness and a lingering, mild heat.
Accompaniments: Lachha Parathas is my go-to for Paneer Makhani but it also goes really well with Tandoori Rotis, Roomali Rotis or Naan.
Storage: If you are going to consume it within an hour or two of delivery, it's safe to keep it out on the counter but do heat it well before serving. Anything longer than that refrigerate and heat well before serving. In the refrigerator it will remain great for up to 4 days. If you want to save it longer, freeze it in an airtight, shallow, freezer-safe container and it will remain perfectly good for up to 2 months. When thawing, do it in water or in the refrigerator or even a microwave but do not thaw at room temperature. Always reheat well before serving.
Fun Fact: In Indian cuisine makhani is any gravy that is primarily made with butter or ghee, onions, tomatoes, paired with plenty of warm spices and rounded off with a hefty helping of cream.
